Resources for County Extension Agents

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension County Extension Agents are trained to offer a variety of Farm to School educational programs to Texas ranchers, farmers, and fishers.

Texans Supporting Texans

The goal of the FRESH TRAYS program is to train a minimum of 150 County Extension Agents, which will reach a minimum of 300 Texas agricultural producers.

After completing an 8-hour educational series, County Extension Agents will offer a variety of interactive educational sessions to Texas producers including:

  • A one-day workshop
  • Lunch-n-Learn series
  • Additional multidisciplinary programs

County Extension Agents will also host networking events where local producers will have an opportunity to meet with local school districts, early childcare centers, and other related affiliates such as processing and distribution organizations, non-profits, potential funding entities, and more to make business connections.
